Ever since Avatar became the highest grossing movie in the records of ever, fans have been waiting for sequels. That wait has lasted roughly an entire decade now and is still far afield from mammal over. For years there was a question as to whether any sequels would even happen, and now, even though principal photography on two sequels has been completed, it has with been avowed that, even though we knew James Cameron has written screenplays for two new films, there's no guarantee those will ever see the well-ventilated of day.
The major explanation that Avatar sequels have apparently taken a decade is that the screenwriting process continued to acquire more and more involved for James Cameron. What was originally going to be two more movies, completing a trilogy, became three more movies and is now four more films, making a total of five if they every acquire made. However, Disney CEO Bob Iger recently avowed to Barron's that even though the first two sequels are on the way, the new two films have not been greenlit.
While James Cameron's original agreement was made bearing in mind 20th Century Fox, bearing in mind the acquisition of Fox by Disney, a agreement that is conventional to be closed by the stop of the month, it's going to be Disney's decision whether or not the new two sequels happen, and right now it seems that decision has not been made.
The original schedule, as it had been presented, was that Avatar 4 and 5 would go into production rudely after the pardon of Avatar 3. It appears now that part of the explanation for that scheme may have been that Fox wanted to see how Avatar 2 and 3 did since letting the adjacent two films acquire made. even though the original Avatar is the highest grossing movie ever (unadjusted for inflation) there's always the possibility that the audience will have moved on and the sequels could falter.
It's still viable that Disney could create the call to come up with the money for the unquestionable two Avatar movies the green well-ventilated sooner. Avatar 2 is set to approach in 2020 and Avatar 3 will hit in 2021. Avatar 4 isn't conventional until 2024, but if Disney doesn't want to wait that long it could create the call, assuming it works within everybody's schedule, to change on the new two movies earlier.
Certainly, bearing in mind the Fox mix taking place Disney is going to infatuation to figure out how it plans to create and pardon movies in the coming years and it's going to have a significant impact on the pardon schedule overall. Disney won't want its films to compete bearing in mind themselves too much and bearing in mind the accessory of every Fox property, there are just going to be that many more films, and potential films, to decide bearing in mind planning releases for the adjacent several years.
While the mix is conventional to be finalized soon, it will probably still be several months since we in reality acquire an idea of what the new Walt Disney Company will see like. The company has to figure out exactly what it is they have and unite every of the new elements into the existing company. Disney probably won't be making any multi-million dollar decisions, bearing in mind greenlighting a couple of expensive films from the new studio, until it's clear it's ready to pull off so.
The original Avatar, even though it definitely left itself approach to potential sequels, with wasn't exactly a cliffhanger ending that required them. Based on what James Cameron has said previously, the same will be the combat bearing in mind each individual sequel.
At the middle of each of our four movies will be the Sully family. Each sequel will decree as a stand-alone movie. Each movie's story will come to its own conclusion... However, bearing in mind looked at as a whole, the journey across every four movies will create an even larger partnered epic saga for audiences roughly the world.
On the gain side, this means that if something does go south for the Avatar franchise and we don't see the fourth and fifth films at all, it shouldn't be an concern for those people who are stil huge fans. We won't see unanswered questions left in Avatar 3 that won't ever be resolved.
It's with in Disney's best interests to create clear that the Avatar franchise does continue to be successful. Long since the house of Mouse granted to purchase 20th Century Fox, the company made a agreement bearing in mind James Cameron to license the Avatar franchise for theme park use. Pandora - The World of Avatar is still the single most popular part of Walt Disney World, thanks to the Flight of lane fellow feeling which has insane wait mature every single day.
These swing sides of Disney's concern feed off each other. The theme park's feat has the potential to boost the box office by keeping people aflame for Avatar for the adjacent two years. At the same time, new movies can put up to fascination people to experience the World of Avatar at the theme park.
But things with decree the new way. If the movies aren't successful or fans decide they don't care, it doesn't just harm the movie side of the business, it can hit the theme parks too.
While the unquestionable two Avatar films may not be officially greenlit, it's probably still a secure bet that they will happen. Even if the sequels don't compete bearing in mind the original for the all-time box office crown, they can still be incredibly financially successful, which will suitably amass to Disney's great library of successful franchises. And then, of course, there's the possibility that they will create every of the maintenance in the world, and next those two movies will be greenlit faster than you can blink.
Avatar 2 is set for pardon December 18, 2020. Avatar 3 will follow on December 17, 2021. even though not officially happening, the new two sequels pull off have pardon dates. Avatar 4 is scheduled to reach December 20, 2024, bearing in mind Avatar 5 completing things on December 19, 2025.

Is the DC Universe already dead? This question became all the more relevant just in the last few days as people attached to the production of both Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad , both followups to existing, and hugely successful, DC movies, tried to separate themselves from the idea that they were, in any way, "sequels."

Infinity war was a great movie. The way they set up Thanos right at the start by showing that he could take on Thor AND Hulk was genius. It was a sign that this is a new level.

Venom came out in early October, dominating the box office on its opening weekend. Despite its success in the earnings department, the viewers' responses to this movie have been mixed. After my first viewing, I must say that my response is varying as well. The first few minutes of this show are packed with exposition.
