This year has already been a good year for horror movies, when films when A quiet Place, Insidious: The Last Key, and Hereditary making notable impressions on audiences. One of the projects coming higher this year is Sony's slender Man, and although the movie has filmed and we've even gotten a poster for it, it now seems that the film is experiencing some major behind-the-scenes issues. In fact, on the heels of a difference of opinion along with the producers and Sony, slender Man is now subconscious shopped to supplementary studios nearly Hollywood.
It sounds when there's a difference of opinion along with slender Man's producers and Sony exceeding the proper promotion strategy for the upcoming horror film. while Sony reportedly wants to frame the film's liberty as a low-budget horror romp in the vein of the flourishing Blumhouse model (think Split or glad Death Day), the producers allegedly have more faith in the film's potential for execution and want to see the studio pump more maintenance into the promotion campaign, as capably as see it debut on more screens. Per Variety, as a upshot of this disagreement, the producers have begun shopping the film nearly to supplementary studios in search of a higher offer, while we've nevertheless to hear of any studio agreeing to pull off as a result yet.
Something when this is not unprecedented in Hollywood, but it's rare to see a film in search of a supplementary studio this late in the game. If the producers of slender Man can find a supplementary studio for the upcoming horror film, the assumption is that Sony will receive reimbursement for the promotion material that it has already funded. That said, slender Man has not officially moved to a supplementary studio yet, as a result it remains very reachable that the film could stay at Sony if the producers cannot find a supplementary house for it in time for its liberty date.
This event is far and wide from the first event to pop in the works in slender Man's road to the silver screen. The film has already garnered a fair amount of controversy, as slender Man has recently been at the core of an actual criminal fighting involving a outfit of girls who claim that the creepy figure inspired them to stab their friend 19 times. It is worth noting that slender Man is not subconscious framed as a recreation of those actual endeavors or inspired by the real-life stabbing (Slender Man is a "Creepypasta" meme that has been nearly for years), but the film has expected some backlash for allegedly capitalizing on the incident.
CinemaBlend will bring you more updates connected to the slender Man and this bizarre behind-the-scenes as supplementary assistance practically it becomes approachable to us in the coming days. As of right now, the horror film remains set for an August 24 liberty date.

Us felt very much like something from M Night's book of how to write a horror movie. Good start, weird twisted forced logic to make the plot work and then an ending that makes you hope there is never a sequel. I think Peele has been in comedy too long and doesn't understand how to do horror without it.
