The sequel to Stephen King's well-liked novel The gleaming is getting its own film accommodation and the star is hoping the follow-up will be clever to do something the indigenous never did, impress the author. Stephen King's nonattendance of reaction for the Stanley Kubrick directed film is thus well known it became a plan point in a recent blockbuster. Ewan McGregor, who will star as the grown-up Danny Torrence in Doctor Sleep, hopes that King appreciates the cinematic sequel because it will be more faithful to his law that Kubrick's film was. According to McGregor...
I think he felt The gleaming wasn't a faithful accommodation of his book. Our script is faithful to his novel. But for one thing. And I'm not going to present anything away. I'm reading Stephen King's novel all morning and I'm in point of fact enjoying it.
While Stanley Kubrick's The gleaming is regarded by many to be one of the greatest horror movies of all-time, one person who wasn't a fan was Stephen King. It's totally authenticated that Kubrick's story wasn't a faithful accommodation of the source material, focusing much more on the parentage into madness of Jack Torrence, and less on Danny himself and his association later than his father. If Doctor sleep is going to be much more faithful to King's work, then it may not charisma to those who'd rather see a sequel to Kubrick's gleaming than King's.
Of course, that's not to say that Ewan McGregor doesn't have his own feelings just about Danny Torrence that might be in suit later than the author. though McGregor tells USA Today that he's reading Doctor sleep right now, and enjoying it, he next says that he occasionally takes business later than some of King's decisions for the atmosphere in the novel.
There are points where Stephen has written a bit, and I'm going, 'Oh, that's not right. I don't think that's quite (Danny).' Like, now I'm already thinking I know the atmosphere more than Stephen King.
One wonders if that's how Stanley Kubrick felt though making The Shining.
While The gleaming accommodation might not be faithful to the indigenous text, there's little ruckus that it isn't a great film in its own right. Stephen King himself produced a TV miniseries story of The gleaming that was much more faithful to the book, but most would inherit that it's a lesser production in all extra way.
Stephen King purists will be glad to know that Doctor sleep plans to be a more faithful adaptation, but, at the same time, one hopes that the film won't be scared to engross from the source material if there are points at which it can create a bigger movie by law so.
Star Trek Writer Alex Kurtzman Reveals His Failed Batman Movie Pitch January 10, 2019 News No comments The writer/producer went on work on Mission: Impossible 3 , Transformers and 2009's Star Trek to name a few.
By the looks of the trailer, The Curse of La Llorona appears to be your standard New Line horror movie, complete with jumpscares, screaming children, and a "From Producer James Wan" title card, but I'm hoping that's just the way Warner Bros. is marketing this thing and the movie itself isn't as generic as this trailer makes it seem.

According to the Russo brothers, this damage is permanent. He's lost an arm. He lost Natasha. That's not coming back. He's damaged himself. I don't know. It's interesting.
