Say what you will about the DC elongated Universe, it has no hardship subsequently announcing projects. As things stand right now, and not including upcoming releases Aquaman, Shazam! and admiration girl 1984 (nor Joker, which isn't even set in the DCEU), this franchise has nearly 20 movies in some form of development. Obviously not all of these movies are beast equally prioritized, and some may not ever become a reality. That beast said, even if there hasn't been an official update about DCEU scheduling in a while, we may finally have an idea what this franchise will take up after admiration girl 1984.
Recent reports have indicated that nature of Prey, The Flash and The Batman are beast lined stirring for liberty next (not necessarily in that order). That's a good start, but there are yet plenty of DCEU projects to choose from afterwards. In fact, we've offered our own suggestions for which movies Warner Bros should prioritize rather than accrue more dust, starting subsequently an adventure set far away away from Earth.
Green Lantern CorpsSo far away in the DCEU, our unaccompanied exploration of the DC cosmic mythology has been visiting Krypton in Man of Steel and Justice League having Steppenwolf and his Parademon army capture Earth. In the latter movie, several Green Lanterns were shown in the flashback battle, but there was no explanation provided about them. Green Lantern Corps was one of the first movies to be announced for the DCEU, and if Warner Bros is at all interested in taking audiences upon a ride to across the DC cosmos, this movie is the best artifice to pull off it. There's nothing incorrect subsequently Hal Jordan and John Stewart spending a little period upon Earth, but the main thrust of this movie (which would afterward incite keep apart from it from 2011's Green Lantern) should be seeing these two flavor cops traveling to other planets and battle alien menaces. Now that Geoff Johns, the man who redefined the Green Lantern mythology in the comics for nearly a decade, has taken more than scripting duties upon Green Lantern Corps from David Goyer and Justin Rhodes, hopefully that means the project will happen sooner rather than later, even if there's no artifice it will be ready to go by 2020 as was originally planned.
Man Of Steel 2It may have drawn polarizing reactions, but overall Man of Steel provided an fascinating bow to upon Superman's origin. But on the other hand of getting a standalone sequel, Henry Cavill's Kal-El shared the spotlight subsequently Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: beginning of Justice. After beast killed by Doomsday, Superman was brought incite to cartoon in Justice League, but he unaccompanied had a little bit of period to shine amid the other ensemble players. Now that our Kryptonian hero has a second lease upon life, he deserves marginal unintended to play a role audiences what he's capable of without sharing the spotlight. Cavill is simply ready to reprise Superman, even wisely suggesting that Brainiac would may a worthy adversary for Man of Steel 2. Although there have been rumors about who could take up Man of Steel 2, there's been no official occupation upon distressing the project forward, fittingly DC and Warner Bros would be wise to modify that.
New GodsSteppenwolf offered just a fast taste of Jack Kirby's Fourth World mythology in Justice League, and since it doesn't see subsequently Justice League 2 is stirring anytime soon, the other Gods movie, which will be directed by A Wrinkle in Time's Ava DuVernay, is the best artifice to other evaluate this insane corner of the DC universe. subsequently Green Lantern Corps, other Gods would evaluate a cosmic corner of the DCEU, but its focus would be narrowed upon two worlds: other Genesis, led by Highfather, and Apokolips, led by Darkseid. The other Gods lineup includes characters subsequently Mister Miracle, big Barda, Orion, DeSaad, Kalibak and Granny Goodness, the inhabitants of both worlds have been engaged in deed for countless ages. other Gods is the perfect platform to finally introduce Darkseid, who Steepnwolf named dropped in Justice League, and it's afterward a movie that can other insert the DCEU mythology without needing to have any near ties subsequently other upcoming projects.
BatgirlIt remains vague whether or not Barbara Gordon will actually appear in nature of Prey, but either way, the DCEU has plans for her more than that movie. Originally Joss Whedon was attached to write and take up a Batgirl movie, and after he stepped away, Christina Hodson, who penned nature of Prey, was brought in to take up the screenplay. It's no mysterious that Barbara wasn't ended justice in 1997's Batman & Robin, fittingly this DCEU Batgirl movie can finally find the money for her some bring to life action, cinematic redemption. Batgirl is one of the most well-known superheroines in pop culture, and even if there's afterward a Nightwing movie in development, it'd be improved to dwindling the spotlight upon Barbara first fittingly we can go to more female representation in this franchise. In fact, if Nightwing doesn't play a role out, subsequently Dick Grayson could easily be included as a supporting air in Batgirl. Regardless, it would be great to follow Barbara's crimefighting career subsequently she doesn't have Batman looking more than her shoulder.
DeathstrokeJustice League's post-credits scene showed the recently-escaped Lex Luthor bothersome to recruit Slade Wilson, assumed name Deathstroke, to incite him form "a league of their own" to deed the other superhero team. As mentioned earlier, it doesn't see subsequently Justice League 2 is stirring anytime soon, but that doesn't plan Mr. Wilson has to wait upon the sidelines. In October of last year, just a month since Justice League came out, it was announced that Gareth Evans was hired to write and take up a Deathstroke movie, and even if the air has gotten a lot of drying external of the comics thanks to projects subsequently the minor Titans blooming series and Arrow, he's completely deserving of a bring to life play a role movie. Depending upon how he's written, Deathstroke straddles the heritage amid anti-hero and villain, but make no mistake, he's a compelling air who's worthy of leading his own cinematic adventure (although it would have been great to see him deed subsequently Batman). subsequently Joe Manganiello wearing the eyepatch, Deathstroke can right of entry stirring a new, action-packed corner of the DCEU.

"Deadpool" and Guardians of the Galaxy were both huge risks that ultimately paid off, big time. As a film, it's nearly perfect. The film does exactly what it needed to do, and more. It introduces Deadpool, sets up his character, and gets you to like him if you didn't already. The non linear narrative was refreshing to see in a superhero film.
