Its the stop of an grow old in the superhero movie genre, as after decades of the X-Men and astonishing Fours film rights inborn owned by 20th Century Fox, those properties are now under the Marvel Studios banner considering Disneys acquisition of Fox. However, it was recently revealed that earlier this decade considering Fox was years away from inborn owned by the Mouse House, it was considering making a movie that maxim the X-Men, astonishing Four, Deadpool and Daredevil crossing paths, and now plan details for this enormous project have emerged.
Thor and X-Men: First Class co-writer Zack Stentz made fans up to date last week that hed written a movie that would have seen many of the then-Fox-owned Marvel heroes coming together that Paul Greengrass was inborn lined going on to direct. Per the dull sources who spoke considering THR, Fox specifically put this project into pastime in 2010, and it would have seen the X-Men and astonishing Four in an epic fight same to what the MCU heroes went through in Captain America: Civil War.
Apparently even if irritating to apprehend Molecule Man, a longtime astonishing Four villain from the comics, Johnny Storm, otherwise known as The Human Torch, would have considering supernova and blown a hole in Manhattan. A superhero registration conflict is later passed in the aftermath of the tragedy.
From there, just considering in Captain America: Civil War, the heroes are split onto opposing fights, and one the main clashes would have been Wolverine vs. Mr. Fantastic. That fight would have ended considering Reed Richards pinning Logan down, stretching his hands until they were one molecule wide and later using them considering scissors to clip the clawed mutants arms off. Even even if Wolverines arms would increase put up to thanks to his healing factor, that is in point of fact brutal, especially for a hero considering Mr. Fantastic.
This movie would stop considering the heroes would have made peace, but a post-credits scene, as theyre known to do, would tease an even better threat: a Skrull invasion. Theres no citation of how Deadpool or Daredevil would have fit into the story, therefore Im guessing they would have been teen players at best.
As for why this X-Men vs. astonishing Four movie never moved forward, considering the success of X-Men: First Class, Fox approved it was a better to keep the main X-Men film series going, and X-Men: Days of forward-thinking considering followed in 2014. This furthermore wasnt the solitary X-Men vs. astonishing Four movie idea in circulation at Fox, as Fox commissioned a separate treatment from comic cassette writer Warren Ellis.
At the grow old Fox was considering having the X-Men and astonishing Four collide, The Avengers was still two years away, and superheroes throwing the length of against each marginal wouldnt be the warm concern for marginal four years after that considering Captain America: Civil conflict and Batman v Superman: arrival of Justice. therefore had Fox moved focus on considering this ambitious idea, it would been ahead of the curve.
Alas, that was a long grow old ago, and even if the X-Men and astonishing Four could still furious paths, because these properties are conventional to be rebooted within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, its not as even if they can solitary furious on top of considering each other. Theyre now allocation of a much larger world filled considering characters considering Spider-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy, and that opens the gate for crossovers akin to what the mutants and Marvels First associates have been lively in countless grow old in the comics.
Stay tuned to CinemaBlend for every the latest updates concerning the X-Men and astonishing Four. The main X-Men film series is concluding considering Dark Phoenix, now playing in theaters.
