Recently, the news came out that Neo himself, Keanu Reeves, came entirely near to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to the report, Keanu Reeves was set to partner Captain Marvel as Yon-Rogg (or Mar-Vell, who knows), a role that eventually went to Jude Law. By the solid of it, Keanu didnt tilt beside the role out of a desire not to be a ration of the biggest franchise in cinema, but because he had a prior faithfulness to John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum that took precedence.
Yet, although we missed out on Keanu Reeves joining the MCU this become old around, if Marvel wanted to put on an act afterward him, theres the possibility that the studio will yet doings to accomplish for that reason in the future. And who could blame Marvel? Keanu Reeves would be a good adjunct to the MCU. He was the star of the immeasurably influential The Matrix and hes now about to wrap taking place one of the best put on an act trilogies of all become old in John Wick (unless director Chad Stahelski gets his artifice and the film series continues indefinitely). Heck, this is a boy afterward a combine subreddit dedicated to how awesome he is.
Keanu Reeves is already operational afterward Disney on a obscure role in Toy balance 4, and although he already played a DC comic record environment in Constantine, a role in a Marvel movie feels afterward a bin in need of checking. But who could he play? The MCU will continue to mount up and momentum in Phase 4, and there is no shortage of roles he could play. Here are six characters Keanu Reeves would be good for who could plausibly be brought into the MCU.
NovaAs the MCU becomes increasingly more cosmic, Nova is one environment whose make known at all times comes taking place for realizable introduction. We already met the Nova Corps in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and James Gunn hinted that Nova was a environment that came taking place in discussions for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. for that reason it is entirely realizable that Nova could put on an act taking place at some dwindling and that makes him a potential environment Keanu Reeves could play.
Marvel would probably desire to go juvenile for Nova (Richard p.s. gets his powers as a teenager), but Keanu Reeves could endure on the role of Richard p.s. as a seasoned advocate of the Nova Corps and its isolated permanent advocate after Thanos wiped the majority of them out acquiring the talent Stone. Keanu Reeves in the region of played a cosmic environment in Captain Marvel and Nova would meet the expense of him other unintentional to accomplish so.
WolverineWe dont yet know exactly what will happen afterward Disney's buy of 20th Century Fox goes through and the X-Men arrive under the Marvel banner. I think the prevailing assumption is that the characters will be rebooted. anything happens, with ease need a new Wolverine now that Hugh Jackman has retired from the role. And while Keanu Reeves is probably too old for the ration and too tall if Marvel decides to go urge on to the characters stature from the comics after the 62 Jackman, Keanu would yet be a fun choice.
We know that he can put on an act a convincing badass and a man of few words afterward Logan. Keanu Reeves has next expressed captivation in playing Wolverine in the past, and some devotee art from BossLogic has shown us that he could see more right in the role than some might expect.
DruigMuch of Phase 4 is a ambiguity but Marvel does appear to be actively developing a movie about the Eternals afterward The p.s. director Chlo Zhao set to helm. One of the Eternals that the film could potentially use is Druig, who is the kin of the Eternals leader, Ikaris. Druig is Loki-esque, in that he is a schemer who is not satisfied afterward the immense talent of the Eternals and seeks to get more for his own selfish aims.
In campaigner times, the Lord of Flames and Nightmares (what a freaking title!) was a KGB agent who enjoyed torture. Keanu Reeves could entirely nail the role as a Russian torturer, and as a environment without a lot of archives or expectations, he could put his own spin on Druig, whether the film has him as a full on villain or just a frenemy of the Eternals.
Adam WarlockIn one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2s end-credits scenes, Ayesha is seen plotting her revenge adjoining the Guardians afterward the neighboring progress of her race called Adam.' for that reason Adam Warlock is already primed and ready to appear in Phase 4 of the MCU, its just a situation of what movie hell debut in and who will put on an act him. afterward many of the characters on this list, Keanu Reeves just seems afterward an ideal fit for the cosmic side of the MCU.
Although he doesnt see afterward Adam Warlock as hes traditionally depicted, Marvel has been known to amend comic record characters for the big screen, and Keanu Reeves entirely has experience playing an ultra-powerful messianic figure. Plus, Adam Warlock becomes a advocate of the Guardians of the Galaxy at one point, and who doesnt desire to see Keanu opposite that pack of rascals?
DraculaThere is a recurring farce online that Keanu Reeves is immortal, and while there are great quantity of death-allergic characters in the Marvel canon, the legendary Vlad the Impaler would be a fun other for Keanu Reeves to play. Dracula exists throughout fiction, and within the Marvel universe, he is the most powerful vampire. Although the supernatural elements of Marvel have yet to put on an act a major role in the MCU, perhaps they could make an impact in Phase 4.
In the comics, Dracula has faced off afterward the X-Men, Thor and Doctor Strange, along with others. If Blade is rebooted as many are hoping, Keanu Reeves Dracula could be the villain in the first MCU horror film. Keanu Reeves could put on an act him as both clever and ancient, and as someone whos lived combined lifetimes (as is fun to believe), the John Wick actor would bring a lot of knowledge to the role.
Silver SurferAlongside the X-Men and the fantastic Four, Norinn Radd seems afterward an obvious other to make his artifice to the MCU at some point, and who could be more absolute to put on an act an intergalactic surfer that goes on excellent adventures than the Wyld Stallyns own Ted Logan? Neo could endure on the role of the make known of Galactus who was voiced by Morpheus actor Laurence Fishburne in 2007s fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Keanu Reeves himself is something of an enigmatic figure, making him with ease suited to the Surfer. He has next already played something of a make known in The hours of daylight the Earth Stood yet and the ration of the Silver Surfer would truly put on an act to the actors strengths. His acting style seems afterward it would be absolute for this cosmic living thing that shows no remorse or pity while under Galactus control, but ultimately feels deep sorrow.
The breadth of the Marvel Universe and our ignorance of Marvels plans means that there are any number of characters Keanu Reeves could put on an act in Phase 4. Even if its not one of the aforementioned, I think many fans would adore to see Keanu Reeves, who has been a ration of for that reason many beloved films and franchises, finally partner the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now that we know he in the region of did, it has to happen.
