While the new novel from Suzanne Collins has no endorsed title as yet, it is set to be released in May of neighboring year, and according to the new York Times, it will be a prequel set 64 years back the endeavors of the first Hunger Games novel. This will admit the tab to the years next the "Dark Days," the bungled disorder in the nation of Panem, which was referenced in the native trilogy of books.
Lionsgate, the studio in back the previous Hunger Games films, has not spoken publicly going on for whether or not the film rights to the collection have already been secured, but there's a fine inadvertent that has already been taken care of. If not, you can bet that settlement is visceral worked out as we speak.
Talk of a Hunger Games prequel movie has been going on for back back the perfect film, Mockingjay: portion 2, was actually released in theaters. back the Suzanne Collins trilogy pretty effectively brought its tab to an end, the solitary place that made sense for a new movie to go was backwards in time.
The fact that we're now seeing an actual prequel novel arrive out first doesn't feel next a coincidence. One totally has to wonder if the movie studio's immersion in continuing the franchise may have inspired the author to write this new book. Lionsgate did liberty a confirmation in which the studio said it had been communicating next Collins throughout the writing process and was "looking forward" to dynamic next her on a future movie. all the more explanation to admit the rights have already been sewn up.
While the perfect movie in the Hunger Games franchise did not accomplishment at quite the same level as the previous films, the franchise as a total has yet been huge situation for Lionsgate.
The solitary situation that the details on the new novel would seem to indicate is that it will settlement next an totally new, or totally approximately so, cast of characters. The enormous majority of the characters from the Hunger Games trilogy will have yet to be born in a collection that takes place more than 60 years back the books that we know. That means new heroes, new villains, and an totally new cast of actors next the eventual movie makes it to the screen.
It's not specifically confirmed that the new collection will be a stand alone novel, though it's after that not visceral announced as the first of a new series. Based on the genre, it seems probably we could be getting more books, and hence more movies, next this one, though I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

It's fun to see your favorite characters all in one place, but if the whole thing becomes fan service just for the sake of fan service, we're going to have a problem.
