When the cast advertisement for Star Wars: Episode IX was released all but two weeks ago, it declared that J.J. Abrams' upcoming film would be the truth installment of the Skywalker Saga. The return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and the pronouncement that Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia would be brought to moving picture using unreleased footage are both huge deals for Episode IX, but the affirmation that this is the stop of the Skywalker Saga contains a galaxy's worth of implications for not deserted this film but the entire franchise.
I think many of us suspected that after the sequel trilogy concluded, the episodic films might acknowledge a break since picking back up taking place once X, XI and XII somewhere the length of the line. I suppose that Disney could eventually attain just that and just not feature any Skywalkers, fittingly staying valid to Episode IX being the stop of the saga. But for now, let's acknowledge Lucasfilm at its word and do something under the knowledge that the Skywalker Saga will end, as it may or may not have always been intended to, at nine films. That puts a colossal pain upon this film to take up a pleasant ending.
J.J. Abrams' film has the unenviable, and possibly impossible task of bringing recess to not deserted a trilogy that began in 2015, but an entire film saga that stretches every the pretension back up to the indigenous Star Wars in 1977. The expectations are spread tall for this film to deliver, and recess for everyone will probably look a little bit different. However, I think that there are determined things that Star Wars: Episode IX needs to attain bring proper recess to this beloved and pivotal chapter in cinematic history.
Leia Has To LiveGiven the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher, Episode IX found itself in a precarious position, not wanting to use CGI or recast Princess Leia, but nevertheless needing to truth her story. fittingly it seemed plausible that the most reachable substitute was to have a times hop and regard as being Leia's death in the crawl and after that begin the film once her funeral. And truth the circumstances, fans would have utterly understood that approach. However, we now know that unused Carrie Fisher footage will be used to bring Leia to moving picture in Episode IX. This means that she has to live. Leia's death was already teased in The Last Jedi, and it just seems somewhat cruel and unnecessary to execute of Princess Leia now. Han and Luke are dead, and this trilogy should stop once at least one of the indigenous three nevertheless sentient to witness valid victory and peace. Having that be Princess Leia, the utterly first revolutionary we met in this saga, would be fitting. Obviously there are probably challenges to this truth the limited footage they have, but this should be the goal.
Answer The huge Lingering QuestionsThe Last Jedi answered one huge Force Awakens ask and rendered the additional one irrelevant, not leaving behind much in the pretension of huge mysteries for Episode IX. Sure, Rey's parents could be retconned and Snoke's once could nevertheless come in to play, but those questions are likely answered. There are, however, nevertheless some things we need answers to since the credits roll upon this saga. First, what's the treaty once the Knights of Ren? Hopefully we will look these dark side users, if deserted to prove Kylo is proficient of making links who aren't imaginary. There is next the lingering ask of Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber. It was destroyed in the facility vacillate amid Rey and Kylo, but we nevertheless don't know how Maz Kanata got it in the first place. It seems reachable that she got it from Lando, but we need affirmation of that upon screen. There are next questions once how exactly Snoke influenced Ben Solo, how many additional Jedi are out there and what additional Force and Force ghost powers are possible. As substitute of J.J. Abrams' projects, Lost, makes plain, recess is hard to come by once answers to lingering questions are in curt supply.
Establish A additional GovernmentSeemingly not wanting to acquire in the muck and mire of trade and tariffs, the sequel trilogy hasn't truth us a fine idea of the management in the galaxy. We don't essentially know the give leave to enter of things or even how the First Order came to power. Some of this stuff has been covered in the canon novels, but the dearth of clarity upon the politics in the galaxy has made it quality smaller (does no one care about the First Order additional than these 20 rebels?). In The Force Awakens, the First Order used Starkiller Base to ruin the seat of the additional Republic upon Hosnian Prime. Presuming that the First Order is defeated in Episode IX, the film should look the launch of a additional additional Republic or some form of management to carry the galaxy into a shiny well along free from dictatorial rule. Seeing tons of species and worlds coming together to begin a additional management would be a kind reaction to the prequels, even if next making the galaxy quality enlarged and giving the victory adjacent to the First Order more weight.
Tie back up To the PrequelsThe sequel trilogy has, by and large, ignored the prequels, and comprehensibly so. But now that we are at the stop of this saga, it is times to merge the three trilogies. There is an entire generation of people for whom the prequels were their gateway into Star Wars, and the deeds of those films chronologically started this saga, fittingly Star Wars: Episode IX should tie back up to them to bring whatever full circle. This could entail substitute things. For one, it would be kind to revisit Coruscant again. That planet plays a huge role in the galaxy and it should do something a role in its future. Episode IX should next reference Padm. She has been largely forgotten, but as Luke and Leia's mother, she deserves more acknowledgement. To that end, I'd next once to look Anakin brought taking place again, not just Vader, but Anakin. He was the most important quality in this saga and he is next one of the two people blamed for quality the galaxy the length of a dark lane it's nevertheless on. He could be seen as a Force ghost closely Yoda and Luke, Obi-Wan and maybe even Qui-Gon Jinn to essentially tie things back up to the beginning.
Bring credit To the ForceThe Sith were presumably destroyed once Anakin Skywalker killed Darth Sidious, nevertheless darkness nevertheless rules the galaxy. Whether its Rey, Luke, Broom Kid or a redeemed Ben Solo, someone needs to bring credit to the Force and give us a happy ending. Rey and Luke could reorganize the Jedi Order using knowledge from the Jedi texts and incorporating the lessons of the once to reinvent the institution and the role of the Jedi into something that actually works, perhaps once a Gray Jedi approach. And just because Episode IX gives us a happy ending and brings credit to the Force doesn't take aim there can't be more movies. additional films in this universe can be set in substitute times and places in the galaxy once substitute problems. An ambiguous ending or just defeating the First Order isn't enough; these characters should have achieved more than just a military victory. The Skywalker Saga should acquire a valid happy ending, not just until neighboring time. This vacillate that began fittingly long ago should finally achieve its end, and once that success should come valid credit in the Force and a additional hope for real and lasting peace.
With the snap of his Infinity Gauntleted fingers, Thanos changed the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an instant. That story right there perfectly illustrates why your average gun nut is so paranoid of democratic rule that they'll go out of their way to prove their point. And I mean why use things like facts and logic when we live in 2019 and those things don't matter? Only outrage does! But before we show you some winners, let's talk some facts.
If they're making fantastic four with the intention of the franchise going further than 2 movies and with character appearances in other films they'd likely be looking for actors under 40. John is pushing it and probably won't want to keep doing films like that when hes in his 50s.
